more late shows..the Wallery at the Roll-Up gallery in SF

As I go very late with these updates - mainly what I post here are things I have worked on - to see how they standup the test of being online. But here is another exhibition detail from July of this year.
I was one of the illustrators whose work traveled to San Francisco's Roll-Up gallery with the Wallery project. I very much like what Wallery is doing, there are many great designs (here are mine).

I spent a lot of time in SF/Bay Area in my teens and early twenties - but traveling there still feels like going to a different land. Here are a few fotos:

In Sharjah

Earlier this year in April I met a group of illustrators during a trip to Sharjah (please see above). We shared many laughs during our adventures and decided to put together a small group show, which I helped to organize in Mundo Azul, Berlin - a great space for all things books, kids and illustration.

Francisco Mantecón

For the second time I sent a couple of poster designs to Francisco Mantecón design competition. For once I was pleased with the on-the wall result. The competition has gotten very big over the past years, there are many great designers/illustrators sending in their work. But one never knows, maybe this is my year.

Some postcards I made for for #twitterartexhbit in E.U. Gallery, Los Angeles, for an international exhibition of original postcard art benefiting Art Division, a nonprofit (501)(c)3 organization dedicated to training and supporting underserved youth (18-25) in L.A.’s Rampart District, an at-risk group within one of Los Angeles’ most densely populated and underserved communities.

Обыкновенная жизнь в Барселоне

I recently began a collaboration with my friend Oleg Shevelyov on his blog called Обыкновенная жизнь в Барселоне - or Ordinary life in Barcelona - a literary blog in Russian recounting his experiences in modern day in Barcelona. I am personally a fan of the blog - and enjoy reading Oleg's outsider/insider view of life in Spain. Having been a resident of Barcelona for some years myself it's also a nice way to connect with the city while I am away... The blog is published 3 times of week - and is now supported with my illustrations.

I have been at work on a number of projects and re-work of old ones. I believe some of these have appeared earlier here and there, but wanted to post some info with more details of these.
Where the butterflies go was a childrens book created in collaboration with Jakob Straub - who wrote the story. It's a story of redwood trees in California.

as well - one of my first works got a makeover and and some text -  I am happy with results. It's lyrical story of a day in the sky.
